14th COMBF A Success
The 14th Annual Crown of Maine Balloon Fest has come and gone. Our pilots did a superb job of flying our guests and VIP sponsors. As mentioned by all of the pilots, our flight crew volunteers were terrific and were spectacular in their dedication and performance. We thank everyone of them for helping make the COMBF a success. Even though two flights were cancelled and three flights had to launch remotely, the COMBF was a fun and exciting event. Thanks to the pilots who stayed through today, all missed flights were made for those passengers who could come back Sunday evening, Monday and today.
Some pilots may be flying tonight and if you want to see the launch be at the Northern Maine Fairgrounds by 5:30 PM to view the launch.
Also do not for get about the amatuer photography contest. Rules and entry forms are available at http://www.crownofmaineballoonfest.org/. There are cash prizes for the winners in both the over age 18 and under age 18 divisions.
Finally the 2017 COMBF pins and T-shirts are gone, but there are just a few COMBF calendars for 2018 left. Stop by the Central Aroostook Chamber of Commerce office on Houlton Road pick up one, two or more calendars. They make excellent Christmas stocking stuffers according to Santa. Also next year’s 15th Annual COMBF dates are already marked on the calendar for you.
Be watching for more COMBF photos on the Crown of Maine Balloon Fest Facebook page and here on this website.
